Top Billing features a Tropical Homestead

This project I was involved with the clients from architect design phase to handover.  I was client liaison between all contractors and the clients during the build process as well as the actual design elements.

The clients brief was a contemporary take on an Indonesian beach-style bungalow that maximized the view of the lush tropical vegetation and serene ocean.  This home was to be a sanctuary from their busy work lives and a perfect environment for their young family.  The interiors had to be visually appealing and in line with the theme, but practical because of young children.  The décor has a minimalist approach with custom made furniture, made with natural products such as wood, leather and textured fabrics.  The clients had some furniture and artworks that were also planned into the spaces.  The end result is magnificent!

Top Billing Pleasant Places Guest House

Top Billing - Pleasant Places Guesthouse was asked to be part of a feature by Capitec Bank based on the high Booking.com ratings, decor and fabulous value for money appeal. It was identified as a place in the area where the influencers would most enjoy to stay, which they certainly did!

At home with Hirsch’s

During this chat with Margaret Hirsch, Philippa shared some amazing tips to re-inspire our workspaces at home to increase productivity. There is a difference between working at work and choosing to work from home!

Decorex 2018

Re-Inspire was asked to design the Entrance Feature for the Durban show, with the overall theme of ‘Rythmn of Life’. The display on either side was contrasting to appeal whether one enjoys bold bright colours or more neutral tones. Both were well received.

Decorex 2016

Re-Inspire was asked to do an ‘African Inspired Trend Pod’. The inspiration was from the picturesque Mkambathi nature reserve with open grasslands and indigenous forest patches flanked by rivers going into the ocean. The indigenous Mkambathi palms are represented from this influence as well as the colour palette of blue and green. The Plascon Colour Award was won for this exhibit.

Decorex 2015

The brief was ‘Beautiful Boudoir’ and a striking area was created with lots of texture, a rich colour palette and detail. The Best Newcomer Award was won! The judges comment was ‘This stand was fun, they paid attention to detail, reinvented the concept of a boudoir and didn’t do the obvious and the expected.’
